But is it any good? All the 365 devotional articles were written by a bestselling author whose identity CSM chose not to highlight in the cover. I was curious about it when I looked for the writer’s name on the front cover. Spoiler alert, you can find out who the writer was on the last page. 😇

Also, it’s not about the author, it’s about how the stories told highlight and complement the Scriptures used. In today’s time, one can start a blog, slap some Bible verses, and add few witty stories, and voila, you’re a devotional writer. It’s not that easy. For this kind of genre, one needs the anointing of the Holy Spirit so that every word written in the devotionals will truly encourage the reader and glorify God. I believe the writer was successful in those aspects. The devotionals were well written especially that you only have such a small space to work on.

Speaking of small spaces, and short articles, it took me just 51 seconds to read one article. That is not really enough time for God. You will need a time of reflection on the Scripture provided and the story that the writer told. This is where you take your time. Read the verse a few times. Then read the whole chapter where the verse is located for a better perspective. Let it dwell in you. Pray the prayer suggested. You’ll be surprised that time would have passed quickly if discipline yourself to “create” time for God and His Word.
