Do not be tired of doing good ang main point. Kaya lang, that is not the only thing that this verse is saying sa context ng buong chapter.
1. Restoring a Sinner
2. Carrying Each Other’s Burdens
Verse 2 tells us to, “Carry each other’s burdens.” Ang ugali na ito, the Apostle says, is fulfilling the law of Christ, which, according to Google, is part of loving the Lord our God with all our heart, soul and strength, and loving our neighbors as ourselves.
3. Staying Humble
Sa verse 3 naman, it instructs us to stay humble. We cannot allow pride to have any part in the Body of Christ. It also instructs us to avoid feeling entitled. When this attitude starts permeating sa gitna ng mga believers, we begin to think of ourselves as better, or more, than our fellow believers. That’s bad. Remember Satan’s downfall was wanting to be what he is not.
4. Stop Comparing Yourselves with Others
Verses 4-5 advises us test our actions. If it is good, then be happy and stop comparing ourselves sa iba. It only leads to envy and conflict. Comparing ourselves to others is the worst way to treat yourself. God has given us a specific work to do and we should not waste our time and energy finding out kung mas magaling tayo sa iba. Remember, we all have a purpose on this earth. Huwag natin kainggitan ang purpose ng iba.
5. Bless Your Mentor
Lahat tayo ay tinuruan. They may be our parents, our school teachers, or fellow workers. Of course, we can learn on our own, and it’s your choice, but then, nothing beats experience na mabibigay sa atin ng mga nauna or nakatatanda sa atin. The next verse, verse 6, tells us to go back and bless our past mentors, especially those who led you to Christ and took time to disciple you to be the mature Christian that you are now.
6. Pleasing Holy Spirit
The next verses, 7-8, casts a serious tone as it is about pleasing Holy Spirit. Naging very clear si Apostol Pablo sa part na ito na God cannot be mocked. The Holy Spirit wants us to sow what pleases Him para anihin natin ang eternal life. Para sa atin din naman ang lahat ng benefit ng gustong ipagawa ni Holy Spirit kaya let us strive to please Him at all times.
7. Doing Good to Fellow Believers
Then lastly, as a result of not being tired of doing good, verse 10 encourages us to do good to all people AT ALL TIMES, lalong-lalo na sa mga fellow believers. Hindi one time lang or kung ok lang ang feelings mo. God wants us to do good at all times.
It is all about showing our faith to the world by our actions.
Kaya do not be tired of doing good, may reward yan if you do not give up.
