It was truly a grand day for children’s television as CBN Asia, Inc., producers of the late night TV program, The 700 Club Asia, and the wildly popular Superbook, launched its newest kids’ sensation, Oyayi at the Forum in Robinsons last October 22, 2016!
Produced in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd) and its attached agency, the National Council for Children’s Television (NCCT) and ABSCBN, CBN Asia is set to conquer the hearts and minds of our precious little ones with a high-tech, highly entertaining, and educational TV show. Oyayi is set in an island where the protagonists are endangered species such as Bon Haribon (Philippine Eagle), Tama Raw (Tamaraw), Diva Butanding (Whale Shark), Dok Pil (pilandok or mouse deer), and Tarsiera (Philippine Tarsier) and Kuya Maki (Icko Gonzalez of Sine Skwela fame). The Oyayi gang also has a nemesis who is always trying to ruin the day, Kwago Zhivago (Philippine Owl), and his sidekicks, the Tornilyons (nuts and bolts).
Once shown, Oyayi will be touching on a lot of current subjects such as the issues on the environment, social media, health, agriculture and many others. The TV show will have a lot of trivia, games, information and values for the whole family. Expect your kids to be glued in front of the TV once they watch Oyayi and learn so many things.
Children will also have a great time seeing all the graphics and animations that were made by a crew of all-Filipino post-production artists. Mabuhay ang Filipino!
During the launch, the audience got a sneak peek at what is in store for them once the show airs. In attendance was the whole Pangkat Oyayi. Kids were treated to fun and games and Gizmo of Superbook even had a special appearance. How cool is that?!
Oyayi will air on the Kapamilya network every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. for 13 episodes in its first season. Be sure to connect with them on social with the OyayiTV handle and visit their website at www.oyayitv.com
