My Personal Tips for Long Life #4: Always Have Good News

Jul 10, 2013 | Uncategorized

A good news is always welcome wherever you go. Who wants to receive bad news everyday? No one. If there is one, deep inside that person is longing for some good news. So have your fill, it will give you good health according to the scripture below,

Proverbs 15:30, A cheerful look brings joy to the heart; good news makes for good health.

A good news will also make you smile, wonder, amazed. It refreshes the soul. Did you know that the word gospel in the Bible accordig to Wikipedia is, “a proclamation of good news, either oral or written, typically announcing a positive event of public importance, such as victory in battle, the accession of a king, the death of an enemy, the deification of an emperor, or victory in the games.”

That is why in some translations of the Bible the Gospel according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are also called the Good News? Really! That is why THE good news which was brought to us by the Son of God Himself, Jesus, is a life-transforming news and the best good news you will ever hear!

As I was writing this, a Facebook personal message (PM) popped up from someone that I have not yet met personally. She told me that she has read some of my posts and was led to let me know about her medical situation. It was good news for me, not because she has a condition, but because I know that God is using this blog or website to minister to people in need. That was a good, actually a great news, to learn. It encouraged me, it affirmed me and gave life to me. By the way, I prayed for this sister and told her what God impressed upon to tell her so that she will be encouraged. I believe that those words were good news to her, so health will come to her. I believe that!

Once you feel this way, health is on the way, the Bible said it so, and I choose to believe it because it is God who said it. Good news is like a shot of endorphins, the happy hormones. Endorphins are produced by our body when we exercise, when our body feels good. Receiving such good news or having that cheerful look, a.k.a. smiling produces this hormone. This is maybe the reason why the proverb says, “… it brings joy to the heart.”

And that is one good news!
