Kapag Inggit, Pikit!

kapag inggit pikit - featured

Napakahirap talaga na hindi mainggit or to get covetous, so much so na isinama ito ni God sa 10 commandments to Israel. Naihanay ang covetousness sa murder, adultery, stealing, and giving false testimonies. Not everyone will murder people or commit adultery, but ang pagkainggit? It can happen every day. Lalo na kapag araw-araw mong kasama sa office or school ang taong kinai-inggitan mo. It’s a different kind of sour feeling na hindi ka dapat mag-dwell.

You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.” Exodus 20-17

So what can you do kapag feeling mo madali kang mainggit?

  1. Recognize that God blesses everyone differently.

Iba ang blessing mo at iba ang sa “kanya”. God has something unique for you, baka mas maganda pa sa kinaiinggitan mo. Or ‘di man mas maganda pero it is what is right for you at a particular time. You think you know what you need pero God REALLY knows what YOU need. He knows what is best for us. Do not think na dahil hindi ito abot sa standard mo ay hindi na ito ang the best for you. Stop. God’s got you!

  2. Learn to be content.

Sometimes it’s just not being happy with what you have because again, iba ang standard mo, hindi kapareho ng kay God, kaya ka naiinggit. That is why you are not content sa kung ano ang ibinigay sa’yo ni God. The Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:11-13 had to learn to be content. Mas matindi ang circumstances nya noong mga panahon na iyon. Laban ka ba dun? These verses emphasize that contentment is a learned skill, not an inherent trait, and that it can be achieved through reliance on God’s strength. If the Apostle Paul was able to learn, you can too! Sabi nga niya, “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

  3. Grow spiritually.

When you grow in your knowledge of the Lord, unti-unti mong makikita na kumokonti na din ang pagiging covetous mo. Studying HIs Words dissolves any covetous feelings that you have through the leading of Holy Spirit which He has graciously given to you. When you grow spiritually, you get wiser, and stand stronger against any temptation to be covetous. Your growth ensures you of God’s provision and keeps you content.

Hindi mo kailangang pumikit kapag naiinggit. You can practice not being covetous. God will give you the desires of your heart according to His will. E ano ba ang will ni God for you? Well, you have to find out for yourself kasi it’s between you and the Lord, ang sigurado dun, it’s the best for you.
