“I was blind, and now I can see” ( John 9:25). A man who had just been healed said this to some Pharisees who would not believe Jesus was from God. Yet, this is the evidence that Jesus is indeed the Messiah—He performs miracles, signs, and wonders. He takes people from darkness and death and brings them into light and life. And He can do that for you.
If you’re suffering from sickness, fear, depression, or worry, you can have a rebirth. You can find a living Messiah who will completely change you from the inside out.
Jesus says in John 3:7, “You must be born again.” This means to be regenerated from your innermost being. God can transform you and make you new. He can change your thoughts, your will, your spirit, your soul, your very being. That is the miracle.
Psalm 16:11 promises, You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.
There is joy in the presence of Jesus. There is joy in your Creator. There is joy in having your life transformed, where your very thoughts transform, and you can wake up every day and say, “This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it”(Psalm 118:24).
How do you get that gift? By seeking the Lord with your whole heart. He tells us in Jeremiah 29:13, “If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”
Ask God if there is any part of your heart that you’re holding back, then pray: Jesus, I choose to fully follow You as my Lord and Savior. Open my eyes to Your truth, power, and goodness. Change my heart and fill me with the joy of Your presence each day.
May God bless you throughout the new year!
