There was loud screaming and shrieking and crying. No, they were not watching an afternoon telenovela. These people were experiencing the power of God in their lives. They were being set free from spiritual bondage and demonic oppressions at the Freedom! Deliverance Conference 2018 held last Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.
Church So Blessed Senior Pastor, Hiram G. Pangilinan, led three other speakers in expounding and ministering deliverance to a crowd of over five thousand people. After eight sessions, it became clear that every Christian needs to hear the message from this conference: everyone, especially Christians, needs deliverance from past sins, generational sins, unforgiveness, demonic oppression and for unwittingly being a part of the devil’s schemes!
One major question that was emphasized in one of the sessions was, “Can a Christian be demonized?” The short answer to this question is, “Yes.” Another is how can a Christian be demonized? Based on the session? There are many. That may be surprising to some but the biblical evidence is clear, as well as what is happening to some believers today. This is why our church leadership should be examining the flock. Are there signs that their members may be demonized? Are these people exhibiting peculiar attitudes and personalities that may seem normal but could probably be oppression? The Church has a lot of issues to resolve but one thing that needs to be confronted is if a member needs deliverance. We’ll never unless we ask or observe.
During the conference, ushers distributed a checklist of sins, addictions, supernatural encounters and experiences which may have contributed to a person’s demonic oppression experience. I was able to check quite a few boxes that kind of traced a history of familial sins, experiences, and addiction that may lead to me being oppressed by the devil or why I had a hard time letting go of particular sins.
This list was then used to ask God to be released from. Every box that I checked were lifted up to God and declared to be free in the name of Jesus. And that was when the screams, shrieks, and crying started. Some were vomiting the devil out! Deliverance erupted in the assembly! Mind you, a majority of the people in the Cuneta Astrodome were Christians.
There is truly great power in Jesus’s name!
