Gods Love for All

Jeremiah 36:3, “Perhaps the people of Judah will repent when they hear again all the terrible things I have planned for them. Then I will be able to forgive their sins and wrongdoings.”

God has terrible plans for the wicked and to those who do not obey His words. But He also loves them very much. God loved us so much that He even gave His One and Only Son, Jesus, didn’t He? So that we may not perish but have eternal life.

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His mercies endure forever!

Jeremiah as depicted in the Sistine Chapel

All of Israel, in Jeremiah’s time, divided between Israel and Judah, we’re disobeying the Lord’s commands. He has been sending them messages and warnings but they do not heed. God warned the kings of Israel and Judah about the impending invasion of the armies of Assyria and Babylon. Still they would not listen. They deceived themselves by sending their own prophets who “prophesied” what they wanted to hear.

God waited for a long time and persisted in the hopes that His chosen people will come to their senses. The Lord continued to send them messages and God even had Jeremiah write again the prophecies He told them–to no avail.

God wants us to be saved from an eternity without Him. He has His part but we also have ours. We only need to turn back from our sins and return to His loving arms. That is all we need to do.

Help us REFRESH others with the life-giving Word of God today!
