God Sees You!

Luke 13:10-13, “One Sabbath day as Jesus was teaching in a synagogue, he saw a woman who had been crippled by an evil spirit. She had been bent double for eighteen years and was unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, ‘Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness!’ Then he touched her, and instantly she could stand straight. How she praised God!”
Can you imagine what a person looks like bent double–for eighteen years? Honestly, I can’t. It is very hard to imagine.

In the passage above, you see Jesus teaching in a synagogue. The place would be tightly packed. Jewish people in those days are very religious in doing their duty in obeying the Sabbath. Jesus saw this woman in the midst of probably a huge crowd.

What does this tell me? God really does not miss anything. As in anything.

This woman was not asking to be healed, but I may surmise that she wanted to. We do not read of her in this chapter asking, pleading or begging to be healed. For all we know, she may be there out of curiosity. But Jesus saw her.

You may argue that she would be easily seen because of the way she appeared–bent double. You may probably not miss her. Granted, but Jesus still chose to call her–and heal her.

There are times that we feel that God does not see our troubles. He does! A lot of times we feel that God is distant and uninvolved. He is! Or we may feel that we are alone and no one cares. That is just not true! He cares for us that even if we fail to ask, He gives. He seeks us from the crowd and singles us out for an amazing blessing.

If you doubt it, just read again the verse above. If you still have doubt, read it again. Those words are real!
