To all our Christian brothers and sisters all over the Philippines: Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
We, the CHRISTIAN COALITION FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS, JUSTICE AND TRUTH (CCRJT), a nationwide coalition of Christian churches, pastors, ministerial fellowships, professionals and individuals have banded together to promote righteousness, justice and truth in our nation as we uphold the Word of God as the standard and authority amidst direct threats and attacks on our Christian faith, values and convictions, humbly come to you in the Name of our Lord Jesus.
At present, Congress (House of Representatives and Senate) passed and/or deliberating on SOGIE (Sexual Orientation Gender Identity and Expression), Same Sex Union/Civil Partnership, Dissolution of Marriage and Divorce (summary procedure on grounds of sex change/reassignment operation and separation of spouses for 5 years, among others), which seek to blatantly disregard God’s design for His own creation as well as rewrite the ancient, sacred laws and pronouncements of God on man and woman, family and sanctity of marriage.
We are prayerfully calling all Christians together in an effort to stop all these bills and preserve the biblical Christian foundations of personhood, marriage and family in the nation, as these are created and ordained by God.
Accordingly, may we humbly and respectfully ask you to join us in this fight through the following efforts:
1. PRAYER – please kindly pray the attached suggested prayer in every worship service, prayer meeting or gathering, etc. in your church or cell groups, or modify it as the Spirit leads you. We earnestly covet your persistent prayers until the dangers posed by said Congressional bills had passed.
2. WRITING a letter to your own local Sanggunian (town or city and province), Congresspersons and Senators asking them to pass appropriate resolutions expressing the sentiment that majority of the people are not in favor of the SOGIE, Same-sex marriage/union, Dissolution of Marriage and Divorce bills.
3. PRAYER RALLIES – hold peaceful public assemblies (Prayer Rallies) as the Spirit of the Lord may lead you, to publicly express your adherence to the Word of God, the promotion of Truth, Justice and Righteousness in the land, and to proclaim the Name of JESUS as God, Savior and Lord of the Philippines. This can also be the venue by which prayers for local public officials can be made.
4. CONNECT with us through the contact details indicated in this letter for synchronized nation-wide effort towards our common goal and purpose, to advance God’s kingdom and proclaim the righteousness of JESUS in our land.
We sincerely and ardently pray that we will solidify our ranks as a united body of Christ in the Philippines contending for the calling and destiny that God has placed and ordained for the Philippines to be fulfilled and completed in our jubilee.
