WAITING… DELAYS… these sure are great tests for one’s patience or forbearance! But these too are opportunities that GOD uses to reveal HIS PERFECT TIMING. How does one recognize GOD’s timing? King David was anointed king but did not usurp or grab the position (1 Sam 24). Joshua, when no longer operating in his own strength and wisdom, was used by GOD to lead HIS people (Josh. 1:1-2). He waited. JESUS stayed where HE was two more days before seeing Lazarus (John 11:6). HE waited for the PERFECT TIMING.
WAITING on GOD without fretting, complaining, without getting agitated many times becomes unbearable! BUT WAITING ON GOD recognizes two conditions:
1. 
Man’s HELPLESSNESS … Human resources fail 
…we reach the end of our rope 
and realize that we don’t need to operate in our own wisdom
and strength
… GOD’s work will be accomplished despite us …. when something happens 
and we can’t seem to explain naturally.
Like when we were waiting and praying for provision to buy our home. We saw this ad in the papers. Little did we know that Capt. Bert Lotilla was the builder. Peter called, asking if we could see the house and somehow Peter recognized his voice. It was Valentine’s Day, 1987, the youth of our church was raising funds for summer camp. The youth sold roses to everyone they met. The next day FEB.15 Sis. Kate Lotilla thanked Peter and me for sending her 2 dozen white roses for Valentine’s Day. Peter assumed I sent her the 2 doz white roses! Nope, we never sent those roses, but Sis. Kate was so sure the card said Peter and Christine! She took it as a sign that the house they built was set aside by the LORD for us!! So, they never entertained other buyers! To this day we can’t explain, but the WAITING ON THE LORD sure opened the opportunity!!

CHRIST’S SUFFICIENCY IN EVERYTHING! HE IS ABLE TO DO FAR MORE ABUNDANTLY BEYOND ALL THAT WE ASK OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKS WITHIN US (Ephesians 3:20)
We must learn to TRUST in GOD’s PERFECT TIMING! Several failures occurred in the Bible because people failed to WAIT. Waiting has possibilities, BURSTING WITH POTENTIAL!! Without a relationship with GOD, with JESUS it can be a very confusing time.
