Ok, so if some things cannot be avoided what can I do with stuff that comes or happens?
If you are going to fly somewhere, there could be turbulence at times when the aircraft shakes and bounces like a car on an old road. If you are going to sail somewhere there could be waves and up and down you go. If you are going to live anywhere on this planet there will be trouble. Jesus actually warned us in this life you will have tribulation.
There is only so much you can do to eliminate possible future discomfort. When it comes, and it will, sooner or later, all you can do is adjust and keep going.
This is a realistic view of our life.
My health is influenced by my genetics, my self-care, what I eat and drink and how I take care of my body. Yet, the best of the best, the most disciplined can encounter sickness, disease or injury.
My continued success in life or business is not the result of a “big” break, “being noticed” or “being at the right place at the right time”. This may account for an opportunity but continued success is a path you choose by a pure heart, a solid character, a consistent life, non-negotiable values, a learning mind and usually much hard work.
Don’t blame the devil for everything that has gone wrong. He is your enemy but he cannot make you do evil and cannot prevent you from doing good.
My relationships if they are good did not just happen. For example, love relationships are actually investments that you must continually invest in for relational health to continue. That one “soul mate”, “love at first sight”, that perfect match have not always worked out. They don’t always work but they can be worked out.
Not only love but all relationships, family, home, work, church will take work to remain meaningful. Lets face it, we invest in what is meaningful to us. Our investments demonstrates what/who we value. Time, money, heart and people.
Vibrant christians are vibrant investors. They do love God. They do love people. They do put Jesus first and do have living real faith. Its obvious! They are making good choices.
I’ll just finish by saying, don’t blame the devil for everything that has gone wrong. He is your enemy but he cannot make you do evil and cannot prevent you from doing good. We are not told to fight the devil—we are told to resist the devil. Meaning he is continually pushing against your good thoughts, your positive disciplines, your love of God and others and even you personal good habits.
Life is a journey. How is your journey? You can’t prevent all hard times but you can overcome anything and everything by the grace of God. Don’t give up.
