This was a book launch that I really wanted to come to. Though it was premiered first at the 2018 Manila International Book Fair, I was not able to come due to a schedule conflict. Last night was another opportunity and I did not want to miss it.
Many of you may have heard of Caitlin “Courageous Catie” Lucas. She caught the nation’s and social media’s attention due to a rare disease that took her young life: juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia or JLL. Courageous Catie and her parents, Jayjay and Feliz, touched and inspired so many people during their painful experience and “they” have now released a book chronicling this journey.
More Than Most: The Story of Courageous Catie is the moving and inspiring account of the Lucas family’s experiences. According to celebrity endorser Cheska Kramer, More than Most can show you what it truly means to never give up on God—may this book inspire you to keep the faith even in the most trying of times.
The book was launched at The Podium in Ortigas Center with music and testimonies of people who were directly impacted by Catie’s life.
The event was organized by OMF Literature and Courageous Light—an organization that provides emotional and spiritual support to pediatric patients and their families.

A guest came up to share how Catie inspired her life.
Dia Tiamzon shares her testimony of how, being a lesbian, she came to know Christ because of the experience of Catie and her parents, Jayjay and Feliz.
