Elevate Yourself

As a kid, I always saw myself as the short one. And years later, I’ve remained… remarkably consistent .

Not the tallest in class, not the most physically imposing—just… consistently closer to the ground than everyone else. It was something I noticed early, and for a while, something I quietly wished I could change.

But over time, I realized something far more important.

There are things in life we simply cannot change:

  • Our physical features
  • Our past
  • Certain limitations we were born into

Yet we often spend an unhealthy amount of energy fighting what is fixed.

Because two people can face the same limitation—one becomes bitter, the other becomes better.

What if the real question isn’t, “How do I change this?” But rather, “How do I leverage this instead of fighting it?”

Because two people can face the same limitation—one becomes bitter, the other becomes better.

The difference?

Just one letter. “”.

E stands for elevation—the choice to engage what we cannot change and trust what God is shaping in us through it.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change” — Wayne Dyer

Transformation doesn’t begin on the outside. It begins in the mind. And often, it’s not the way you’re built on the outside that determines your life—but the way you think on the inside.

Despite my height challenge, I am deeply grateful for who I have become and how I am living out my life’s motto: I aspire to inspire before I expire.

And I’m not expiring anytime soon—there’s still plenty of gas left in the tank.

“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” — Psalm 27:13
